Australian life - bush toilet

Nowendoc is a little village a little off Thunderbolt's Way at the southern end of the New England Tablelands. Coming back from Armidale, I stopped to go to the loo. I had been there before, but initially couldn't see it. Then I realised that it had been landscaped! It's actually quite pretty.   P1000936(1)

Thunderbolt's way is my preferred route to New England, ex Sydney. The route is a bit a of a boneshaker in parts, but scenically way ahead of the NE Highway.

There is some great country, DG, and its so much shorter than the NE Highway. Last year decided to go the highway route again for old time's sake and to catch up on what had changed. The coal trucks!

I get into trouble with Armidale people each time I mention Thunderbolt's Way. They want it kept secret!
