Interesting piece on the Indi grassroots campaign by Barrie Cassidy,The story of how Cathy McGowan stormed Indi. There were a couple of points in the story where I disagreed with his analysis, I might pick them up later, but it's well worth a read as as a case study in grass roots politics.

Yes, I did read this article and it was interesting. Grass roots campaigns such as this are the way of the future, I think. If enough people believe they are not being represented in the way they want to be, then surely this kind of campaigning will happen more and more.

Hi Sue. I think that you are right. We have lots of issues campaigning. One of the interesting things about Indi is that the campaign was so much about representation.
